Alfie Best is one of the richest people in the country and has returned to his home county with his property firm.

Since 2016, there has been some fears over what a post-Brexit Kent could look like.

One multimillionaire businessman sees it differently however, and believes Kent is going to see a boom in business in the coming years.

Alfie Best was 382nd on the Times Rich List in 2020 and has a net worth of over £340 million.

The 50-year-old is the chairman of Wyldecrest Parks, a mobile home company which has recently purchased Beckenham Park in Rainham.

The businessman set up the company in 1991 and has seen it grow continuously.

Fast-forward nineteen years later and Wyldecrest now has 81 parks in the UK including sites in Kent in Ashford, Margate and Folkestone.

Best was born in a caravan at the side of the road in Leicester in 1960 and was raised in a Romany Gypsy family before starting his first business aged 14.

As well as jetting around the world, the millionaire has been based in Essex and Leicestershire in recent years, but has decided to focus his next venture in a county with close family ties .

Best’s parents actually came from Kent, his dad from Tunbridge Wells and his mum from Nettlestead in Maidstone.
